Granbury ISD teams and
other student groups will be showing a lot of Pirate Pride when traveling out
of town.
Two new 46-passenger
activity buses were recently delivered after being wrapped by Granbury-based
Fleet Ink, a subsidiary of Total Equipment and Service.
The two vehicles, along
with five regular 77-passenger buses, were funded with the 2013 bond
initiative.
A third activity bus, a
smaller one that sits 18, is also being wrapped and was purchased with regular
district funds. All three of the new vehicles
will be available for all GISD students and will simplify student travel, which
sometimes required multiple suburbans to accommodate some travel.
School trustees also
approved the purchase of three suburbans to expand an aging white fleet.
