October 30, 2020 

Granbury High School cross country runner Emily Dolan qualified for regional competition at the District 5-5A meet on October 29, 2020, at Central Park in White Settlement. 

Dolan, a junior, placed sixth individually with a time of 22:22.18 and led the GHS girls to a third-place team finish.  Others were Ashlyn Bednarz, Ava Garner, Kylee Hallmark, Emery Kirby, Aubrey Kirby, and Ezra Sedgwick. 

The boys finished sixth as a team, with senior Ethan Wilkinson leading the squad with a time of 20:11.07.  Others were Bodie Chastain, Jayce Glenn, Peyton Haws, Ashton Lemens, and Alec Wilkinson. 

For the junior varsity, the girls took first place while the boys were third.  Those team members are: 

• Junior Varsity Girls: Wendy Aguado, Laura Burch, Morgan Heche, Victorya Hernandez, Vanity Lopez, Brisa Lozado, Tania Magallanes, Carlie Osborne, Naiya Stone, Crystal Torres, Caroline Wallace
• Junior Varsity Boys: Michael Aranda, Conner Boegler, Ethan Carter, Casen Ensminger, Rylan Fleming, Brendan Gray, Dylan Hallmark, Trent Huggins, Makye Lazaro, James Linzy, Emory Osborne, Collin Valentine, Zayden Yates 

The Region I-5A meet will be Monday, November 9 at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock.
