Top players on the Granbury Pirate football team were recognized during an awards ceremony on January 21, 2021, in the Granbury High School auditorium. 

Most valuable player honors were awarded by head coach Chad Zschiesche, coordinators, and other coaches: 

• Johnny Perkins Award – Overall Most Valuable Player: Zach Watson
• Jimmy Tidwell Award – Offensive Most Valuable Player: Austin Jinkerson
• Jerrell Bolton Award – Defensive Most Valuable Player: Bennie Lara
• Josh Kubiak Award – Special Teams Most Valuable Player: Jadon Rogers

Outstanding player awards were given to: 

• Harold “Poggie” Ames Jr. Award – Outstanding Offensive Lineman: Tobie Beck
• Lynn Ford Award – Outstanding Defensive Lineman: Brooks Pearce
• Mark Hayworth Award – Outstanding Offensive Back: Zane Davis and Cordel Gibson
• Larry Stewart Award – Outstanding Defensive Back: Tate Baker

Other awards presented were: 

• George Rains Fighting Heart Award: McLean Dobbins
• James Hodges Pirate Leadership Award: Nico Ramirez
• Ike Thomas Student Athlete Award: Jacob Greene
• Outstanding Scout Team Award: Offense – Michael Bass and Kagen Hill; Defense – Jacob Potter

For subvarsity teams, awards went to: 

Junior Varsity: 

• Offensive Most Valuable Player: Walt Hartman
• Defensive Most Valuable Player: James Byrd
• Special Teams Most Valuable Player: Mikel Scott

Freshman 

• Offensive Most Valuable Player: Caden Crouch
• Defensive Most Valuable Player: Judah Morgan and Cooper Sliva
• Special Teams Most Valuable Player: Kolton Montoya

Fifteen players received District 3-5A honors: 

• First Team: Zane Davis, wide receiver; Austin Jinkerson, quarterback; Brack Peacock, punter; Zach Watson, running back
• Second Team: Tate Baker, inside linebacker; Tobie Beck, offensive tackle; Cordel Gibson, wide receiver; Gus Hamlin, outside linebacker; Parker Lutgen, center; Braydon Olthoff, defensive tackle; Brooks Pearce, defensive end; Israel Ramirez, offensive guard; Nico Ramirez, outside linebacker
