Granbury FFA members recently traveled to Tarleton State University, Texas Tech University, and Texas A&M University to compete in the state Career Development Events.
FFA The CDEs build on what is learned in agricultural classes and encourage members to put their knowledge into practice. Approximately 12,700 students began the statewide-tournament in 28 different events which reflect classroom instruction in technical, leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
Members include:  
  • Homesite: Sam Spradlin, Colten Bison, Julianna Eckley
  • Livestock: Sam Spradlin, Colten Bison, Ben Valles, Alyx Bradley
  • Meats: Sam Pence, Taylor Phillips, Sarah Spradlin, Luke Elliott
  • Range: Ty Robertson, Savanna Shellnut, E.B. Hull, Preston Jeffery
  • Wool:  Dane Temple, Sam Pence, Ethan Raines, Chase Oxford                              
The Texas FFA is the nation’s largest state FFA association with a membership of 104,000 active FFA members. Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources programs teach skills in leadership, career development and personal growth. FFA gives students the opportunity to practically apply classroom knowledge to real-world experiences through local, state and national competitions.
