Granbury High School graduating seniors attended a Baccalaureate service sponsored by the Granbury Ministerial Alliance on May 18, 2014, at the GHS Bagby-McMahan Performing Arts Center.
Delivering the message was Dr. Mark Forrest, senior pastor at Lakeside Baptist Church. Others participating were: Kevin Anderson, director of youth ministries at Acton United Methodist Church; Merrie Cardin of Brazos Covenant Ministries; Rev. Larry Dickson, pastor of Faith Assembly of God Church.
The GHS and Crossland choir, under the direction of Joy Hope and Greg Doss, performed “Set Me as a Seal,” “The Lord Bless You and Keep You,” and the traditional “Bless Us This Day.” Other music was performed by the Lakeside student praise band, which included some seniors.
The baccalaureate was the first formal ceremony of the high school graduation season.
Awards and scholarships will be announced during a special evening event on Thursday, May 22. The Senior Awards Program will begin at 7:00 P.M. in the GHS Bagby-McMahan Performing Arts Center.
Graduates will receive their high school diplomas at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 29 at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
