Officers for the Stowaways dance and drill team at Granbury High School attended a leadership camp on June 8-11, 2014, in Rockwall.
The officers are captain Sarah Hayner, first lieutenant Katie Leonard, junior lieutenants Gabby Munoz and Libby Stone, and sophomore lieutenant Liesl Krone.
As an officer line, the young ladies earned Grand Champion honors brought home awards for All American Team of the Week, Most Admired Team, and Most Disciplined Team. The girls also were one of four units to receive the Home Routine Award. Only six officer teams received the grand champion honors.
On an individual basis, Hayner was named Outstanding Performer. The captain – along with Krone and Leonard – were named All-American with Munoz and Stone receiving honorable mention recognition. Leonard also received Dance Company recognition.
