With a range of activities from robots and rockets to cooking and tennis, dozens of students at Nettie Baccus Elementary School enjoyed a Summer Enrichment Week on June 9-12, 2014.

“We wanted to give kids an opportunity over the summer break to build relationships with staff and other students while exposing them to a variety of interesting topics they could continue at home over the summer,” commented principal Leslie Tewell. “The kids experienced new things, strengthened relationships at Baccus, and learned some innovative skills.”

The week-long program include a lot of problem solving and critical thinking activities as well as other opportunities such as art, cooking, culture, drama, robots, rocketry, tennis, and yoga.

Pictured above, the week culminated on June 12 with a tour of AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington.
