Linda Williams has been named the new Granbury ISD support services director. The announcement was made following the Board of Trustees meeting on June 16, 2014.
In this role, Williams will oversee the district’s child nutrition and custodial services programs.
“I have worked with Linda for several years, and I know she will do a great job,” commented Dobie Williams, assistant superintendent for finance and operations. He and the new director are not related. “Linda is the consummate professional and is very detail-oriented. She will be a hard worker on behalf of Granbury students.”
The custodial operations will be contracted to GCA Services Group beginning September 1. However, Williams will provide oversight of the operations for the school district. Current assistant director of custodial operations Bobbie Ellingson will be joining GCA as a regional manager to work with Williams.
Williams has numerous years of experience, having worked as the director in the Clyde school district since 1990. Her skills include directing all aspects of a food service program, complying with budgetary and regulatory guidelines, maintain excellent customer service and communication.
In 2010, she completed the certified food managers program through the Texas Department of State Health Services.
