Icy Summer Theatre Camp

Granbury youngsters are invited to join the Granbury High School theater arts program for an “Icy Summer.” The theatre camp is planned for August 4-8, 2014, at GHS.

The camp is open to all students entering grades 3-8 for the incoming school years. The group will be split into three levels by grade during the five-day camp, which will be 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. each day.

The students will learn songs and dances from Disney’s Frozen during the camp, which will be led by GHS theater directors and students in the Bagby-McMahan Performing Arts Center.

Frozen was a 2013 hit animated movie inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale The Snow Queen. Popular songs from the movie include “Let it Go,” “Do You Want to Build a Snowman,” “For the First Time in Forever,” “Love is an Open Door,” and “In Summer.” The film won two Academy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, and numerous other honors.

Early registration is $125 with snacks and a t-shirt provided. The fee goes up to $150 after July 15. To register, parents may contact Krista Alcorn Holman at (817) 694-1970 or krista.alcorn@granburyisd.org or April Brenning at april@strings4allseasons.com.
