Forty-two choir students from Granbury High School and Crossland Ninth Grade Center performed at the All-Region and All-District choir clinic and concert on November 14, 2015, at the Weatherford High School auditorium.
Performing with the region choir were Kaitlyn Bailey, Ashley Brooke Boyd, Baylee Davis, Brynn Deger, Jamie Garcia, Reagan Hall, Raul Jamie Hernandez, Kiersten Mathis, Amanda Peterson, Jake Piland, Taunton Puckett, Brennan Ross, Grace Sokol, Statia Sokol, Andrew Walters, Casey Wilcox, Shannon Wornell, Zach Zagrocki.
District choir members performing were Fernando Barragan, Garrin Brassie, Nash Buescher, April Cabrera, Lizzy Garcia, Cesar Gutierrez, Kalvin Hughes, Craig Knisley, Liesl Krone, Christopher Lancaster, Zoe Mehall, Audrey Montgomery, Aaron Morgan, Lauren Mullican, Bailey Occhipinti, Dakota Paulo, Paige Pritchard, Skylar Schreiber, Joshua Smith, Darrin Stone, Robert Stowell Jr., Savannah Wark, Remington Watson, Chris Willis.
The students are under the direction of Joy Hope and Greg Doss. Nine of the students – Bailey, Brassie, Mehall, Peterson, Piland, Stone, Walters, Wilcox, and Willis – are freshmen. The remaining are GHS students.
Clinicians were Mike Ware, conductor of the Sam Houston State University Chorale and Concert Choir, for the region choir and Leigh Ann McClure, choir director at Keller Central High School, for the district choir. Granbury Middle School choir director Jeremy Bowen accompanied the region choir.
The region choir students will have tryouts in the third round of the all-state choir process on Saturday, November 21 at Burleson High School.  Those that advance will travel to Midland on January 9 for the final auditions.
