Granbury High School will be hosting several baseball teams at a tourney sponsored by Classic Chevrolet.  The three-day tournament will be on February 25-27, 2016.
In addition to the Pirates, the tourney will feature teams from Brewer, Fort Worth Country Day, Fort Worth Paschal, Fort Worth Western Hills, Stephenville, and Sweetwater.
Tourney games will be played at GHS Tidwell Field as well as Granbury Middle School.  The schedule is available on the GHS website at
Granbury will play Western Hills at 11:15 A.M. on the opening day.  On Friday, the Pirates will take on Brewer at 11:15 A.M. and Stephenville at 3:45 P.M.  For the final day, GHS will have a split squad facing Stephenville at 9:00 A.M. (at GMS) and then battle Sweetwater at 11:15 A.M. and Country Day at 6:00 P.M.
Admission is:  3 Day Pass – $12 adults, $5 seniors/students; 2 Day Pass – $8 adults, $3 seniors/students; Day Pass – $5 adults, $2 seniors/students.  Entry is free for GISD Gold Card holders, for children aged 14 and under, and for GISD employees and students with ID cards.
The Pirates include Rustin Beasley, Nash Buescher, Wesley Case, Bryce Foutz, Landon Gray, Tristan Fallin, Corbin Harris, Matthew Hickey, Hunter Jones, Lachlyn McPhie, Chandler Roop, Daniel Tramel, Chance Turney, Andrew Walters, Landon Weatherly, and Kyler Young.
Head coach Brad Eppler is assisted by Trent Phillips, Danny Guidry, Greg McCarthy, and athletic trainer Andy Rankin.
