The Pirate baseball team at Granbury High School
recognized graduating seniors following their final regular season victory over
Crowley on April 29, 2016. The team is
also headed to the Class 5A playoffs.
Six boys are members of the Class of 2016 – Nash
Buescher, Tristan Fallin, Landon Gray, Chandler Roop, Daniel Tramel, and Landon
Weatherly.
The Pirates’ 4-3 win over Crowley placed them
third in District 8-5A, finishing the regular season 23-6 overall and 10-4 in
district play. They will face Fort Worth
South Hills in the bi-district playoffs at 7:30 P.M. on Friday, May 6 at South
Hills High School.
This
marks the fifth straight year for the Pirates to make the playoffs, with the
team qualifying seven of the last eight years.
Other members of the varsity squad are Rustin
Beasley, Wesley Case, Connor Dixon, Bryce Foutz, Corbin Harris, Matthew Hickey,
Josh Johnson, Hunter Jones, Lachlyn McPhie, Chance Turney, Andrew Walters, and
Kyler Young.

Phillips, Greg McCarthy, Danny Guidry, and athletic trainer Andy Rankin.
