GHS SENIORS HONORED FOR AWARDS, SCHOLARSHIPS

Granbury High School recognized graduating seniors
for awards and scholarships during a ceremony on May 19, 2016, in the
Bagby-McMahan Performing Arts Center. While
still counting, the GHS students have received almost $6.2 million in
scholarship offers.
Sarah
Schloeman and Kaylee Keating will represent the senior class as valedictorian
and salutatorian. Others in the top ten of the graduating class are Craig Knisley, Joshua Smith, Kiersten Mathis, Clay
Walters, Lauren Wood, Makenna Martin, Lillian Thornton, and Hannah Robinson.
Awards and scholarships were
announced for all graduating seniors.
This included academic and athletic achievements as well as professional
certifications.
In addition to university-awarded
scholarships, representatives of the Granbury ISD Education Foundation and numerous
local organizations took part in the ceremony to congratulate the
students. The organizations included
businesses, service clubs, churches, charitable groups, booster clubs, and the
military.
Graduation exercises will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday,
May 27 at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
