August 31, 2021 

Granbury High School announced the 2021 Homecoming Court on August 31, 2021. 

King nominees are Gus Hamlin, Dereck Lacy, Luke Mankowski, Christopher Martinez, and Brady Porter.  Queen candidates are Scout Akers, Landry Basil, Caylin Damron, Jordan Sandness, and Scout Skaggs. 

Homecoming festivities will be September 7-11 with the board game theme of " Pirates Play to Win." 

The Homecoming parade will begin at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 8. The parade will be staged at Decker Field and will proceed from Hannaford Street west down Pearl Street to the high school.  A spirit rally and fireworks display will follow at Pirate Stadium beginning at about 8:00 P.M.  

On Friday, kickoff for the Granbury-South Hills football game will be at 7:00 P.M. 

During halftime festivities, the Homecoming Queen will be crowned. Also to be recognized will be the Coming Home Queen and King, representatives of the GHS Class of 1971. The Homecoming King will be announced during a pep rally earlier that day. 

The GHS student council will host a Homecoming Dance for students on Saturday, September 11 from 7:00-10:00 P.M. in the high school courtyard.
