ANNOUNCEMENTS

 

STAAR TESTING NEXT WEEK:  State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) tests on March 30-April 1:

- Monday, March 30: 4th grade writing (day 1); 7th grade writing (day 1); English I end of course exam

- Tuesday, March 31: 4th grade writing (day 2); 7th grade writing (day 2); 5th grade reading; 8th grade reading
- Wednesday, April 1: English II end course exam

 

BAD WEATHER MAKEUP DAYS: Mark your calendars. School will be in session on Friday, April 3 and Monday, June 1.

 

BOND CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS: Follow GISD bond projects at www.granburyisd.org/bond for news, important documents (timeline and financial recap), and other information related to these projects which include transforming GHS, enhancing career and technical education and fine arts programs, building a robust technology infrastructure for model classrooms, improving campus safety and security, and many other improvements.

March 23, 2015 - JV Lady Pirates won third at the District 8-5A preview tournament on Monday at Mountain Valley Country Club in Joshua. Trisha Richards led the squad with 108 to earn third place individually. Others were Kaylie Garcia (117), Zoe Strickland (120), Mattie Allen (127), and Mia Munoz (131).Read Full Story »

 

GHS/CNGC JV Boys Golf - District Preview Tournament

March 23, 2015 - JV Pirates were in action at the District 8-5A preview golf tournament on Monday at Mountain Valley Country Club in Joshua. The Purple team won second with a score of 369 and was led by Andrew Dunn, who finished first individually at 78. Others were: Hunter Trice (91), David Scott (99), Hayden Moore (101), and Kaman Wilkinson (110). The Gold squad shot 427 included A.J. GHS Girls Golf - Midlothian Invitational

March 20-21, 2015 - Lady Pirates played through the mud and rain at the Midlothian Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Tangle Ridge Golf Club in Grand Prairie. Juliana Eckley led the team with rounds of 88-91=179. Mollee-Jo Crain followed with 88-96=184, Tifton Pucket had 101-87=188, Laurel Burns shot 95-99=194, and Alexis Gapinski finished with 102-103=205.Read Full Story »
