SCENES FROM AROUND GRANBURY ISD

EARLY DISMISSAL ON FRIDAY: Schools will dismiss classes early on Friday, April 10. Elementary and intermediate campuses will dismiss at 11:45 A.M. The middle schools, Crossland Ninth Grade Center, and Granbury High School will dismiss at 1:00 P.M. Buses will transport students home early based on this schedule. The Extended School Day program will be open at all elementary and intermediate schools until 6:00 P.M. All STARS Accelerated High School students will meet during the morning session from 8:15 A.M.-12:15 P.M.

SATURDAY YARD SALE: Baccus Elementary will host a Scholarship Fund Yard Sale on Sat., Apr. 11 from 8am-1pm at the GISD Adminstration parking lot at 600 W. Pearl Street.
BAD WEATHER MAKEUP DAY: Mark your calendars. School will be in session on Monday, June 1.
BOND CONSTRUCTION PROGRESS: Follow GISD bond projects at www.granburyisd.org/bond for news, important documents (timeline and financial recap), and other information related to these projects which include transforming GHS, enhancing career and technical education and fine arts programs, building a robust technology infrastructure for model classrooms, improving campus safety and security, and many other improvements.

GHS Girls Golf - District 8-5A Tournament April 7-8, 2015 - Lady Pirates are in fourth place with a team score of 374 after Day 1 of the District 8-5A golf tournament at Squaw Creek Golf Course in Glen Rose. Tifton Puckett leads the squad with 87; other team members are Juliana Eckley (94), Mollee-Jo Crain (95), Alexis Gapinski (98), Madeline Phillips (98). April 6-7, 2015 - Alex Jenny and Keelyn Taylor won the girls doubles championship at the District 8-5A tennis meet on Tuesday at Burleson High School. Molly Garrison and Bryten Otting placed second in mixed doubles and Paige Pritchard is second in girls singles.
