Centennial (Burleson, TX)'s no-hitter drops the Pirates 4-1
13 baffled the Pirates hitters all game long on Friday,
tossing a no-hitter and leading Centennial to a 4-1 victory over.
No Pirates batter was able to locate #13's pitches during
the game. #13 threw a no-hitter, striking out one batters and walking none. He
got Tristan Fallin to for the final out of the game.
Landon Weatherly was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted
just six innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
In the top of the first, Centennial grabbed the early lead,
1-0. Centennial caught fire after #10 doubled. Then #21 doubled, plating #13.
The lone run of the game for the Pirates crossed the plate
in the first inning on a wild pitch.
Centennial stayed on top until the final out after taking
the lead in the fourth, scoring two runs on a two-run single by #24.
