The Pirates fall 12-2 to Aledo (TX) despite Landon Gray's effort
 
Despite a big day at the dish from Landon Gray, who finished 2-3, the Pirates lost 12-2 to Aledo on Wednesday.
 
Aledo was sparked by #23 and #20, who teamed up for six hits and six RBIs.
 
The top of the first saw the Pirates take an early lead, 1-0. Landon Gray singled to ignite the Pirates' offense.
 
Aledo stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third, scoring two runs on a sacrifice fly by #23 and an RBI single by #6.
 
Aledo piled on two more runs in the bottom of the fourth. A bases loaded walk scored #24 to get Aledo on the board in the inning.
 
Aledo matched its four-run fifth inning with four more in the sixth. In the fifth, Aledo scored on a two-run double by #20, plating #23 and #8.
 
One run in the top of the sixth helped the Pirates close their deficit to 8-2. A sacrifice fly by Bryce Foutz triggered the Pirates' comeback. Finally, #18 got Tristan Fallin to fly out to end the game.
