NAYLOR RECOGNIZED THROUGH EDUCATOR IMPACT AWARDS PROGRAM

Rhonda Naylor, social studies teacher at STARS Accelerated High School, was recognized as a finalist in the first-ever Educator Impact Awards sponsored by Odysseyware during a technology conference in Chicago on June 26, 2018.

 

Nominated as an alternative education teacher, Naylor was honored at a dinner with other teachers during the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) conference.

 

“Great teachers are essential to student success—in school and in life—and we’re thrilled to recognize teachers from across the country through the Odysseyware Educator Impact Awards,” said Eric Swanson, Senior Vice President of Product at Glynlyon.

 

Odysseyware is a technology and learning industry leader, offering innovative, technology-enriched curriculum and instruction solutions primarily for grades 3-12. The Odysseyware personalized instructional tools provide 21st-century educational solutions across the core subjects of math, English language arts, history, geography, and science along with other programs.

 

An alternative academic high school that is part of Granbury ISD, STARS provides an optional setting with flexibility and personalized self-paced courses for high school students whose needs are not met in the traditional school.  The acronym stands for Self-Motivated Teens Achieving Responsibility and Success.  Over one thousand students have graduated from STARS since its founding in 1994.
