The Healthy Kids summer lunch program will begin on Monday, June 5, 2017. Free lunches will be available to all area children 18 years old and younger.
Healthy Kids is a collaboration between community volunteers and the Granbury ISD child nutrition department.  Local volunteers from churches and other organizations will pick up the meals at Granbury High School and deliver them to the feeding sites.  Many volunteers also sponsor fun activities, including reading programs and contests.

Over the course of the summer, children will enjoy a variety of hot baked items along with fruits and vegetables.  Funded through a Texas Department of Agriculture program, the meals are prepared by the school district and meet all federal and state nutrition guidelines.
Participating locations are in neighborhoods Arrowhead Shores, Montego Bay, Oak Trail Shores, Rancho Brazos, Sandy Beach, and Sky Harbor.  Meals will also be served at the Hood County Library.
Any student may also eat breakfast and lunch at either GHS or Mambrino School.
Lunches will be served daily all summer long except for Tuesday, July 4.  The program will end on Friday, July 28.
A complete list of locations and times is available on the GISD website at
