The Granbury ISD Board of Trustees held its regular monthly meeting on March 21, 2022.

In personnel, the board approved staff recommendations as well as term contract extensions for campus professionals.
The board tabled action on a memorandum of understanding with Tarleton State University for the Texas Covid Acceleration Learning Support (TCLAS) Program, an initiative to provide mentor teachers to help prepare educator candidates seeking certification and future employment as a teacher. Trustees will consider the MOU at a future meeting.
Reports to the board included:
- Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Glenn praised campuses for common assessment scores as students prepare for state exams. He celebrated the Granbury Marine Corps JROTC rifle for earning its fifth-straight national championship. Glenn also discussed staff tours exploring options for a potential new high school, and he announced that the district is hosting a series of town halls on the GISD Bond 22 proposal.

The board also approved past meeting minutes and budget amendments. Board members renewed participation in the Texas Association of School Boards’ Risk Management Fund through an interlocal participation agreement for the unemployment compensation program. Trustees also approved a three-year extension in the Third Party Administrator contract with First Financial Group of America, which offers supplemental insurance products for district employees. The board also approved a meeting schedule through June 2023.
Donations reported to the board included: $2,000 from Antonia Segars to assist with flight time hours for GHS aviation students.
Out-of-district travel requests included the DECA students from the high school to attend the international competition on April 23-27 in Atlanta.
