GHS SENIORS HONORED FOR AWARDS, SCHOLARSHIPS

Granbury High School recognized graduating seniors for awards and scholarships during a ceremony on May 19, 22, in the Bagby-McMahan Performing Arts Center. While still counting, the GHS students have received over $7.4 million in scholarship offers.
Kori Brawner and Matthew Walters will represent the senior class as valedictorian and salutatorian. Others in the top ten of the graduating class are Alex Call, Trinity Belott, Kaylee Black, Sawyer Schenewark, Parker Bradley, Lu Johns-De La Garza, Emily Dolan, and Garima Shrestha.
Awards and scholarships were announced for all graduating seniors. This included academic and athletic achievements as well as professional certifications.
In addition to university-awarded scholarships, representatives of numerous local organizations took part in the ceremony to congratulate the students. The organizations included businesses, service clubs, churches, charitable groups, booster clubs, and the military.
Graduates will receive their high school diplomas at 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 27 in Pirate Stadium.
A baccalaureate service sponsored by the Granbury Ministerial Alliance is set for 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 22 in the GHS Bagby-McMahan Performing Arts Center.
