Granbury ISD hosted the 1st Annual Elementary Gifted & Talented Showcase for students and families on May 19, 2022, at the GISD Administration Building.

The event allowed students to feature their work through a poster exhibits in a gallery walk showcase.  Also highlighted was a kindergarten science experiment display and student videos.

N.A.V.I.G.A.T.E students also assembled holiday-themed puzzle books to donate to assisted living centers and nursing homes in the community.

In addition, fifth grade students were recognized for completing the elementary program and moving on to middle school.

Organizing the event was GT elementary teacher Sherri Fozkos, GISD curriculum coordinator Becky Strain, and the district curriculum department.

The program vision is that GT students will fully develop their intellectual, leadership, creative, and artistic potential through participation in an exemplary district program with highly trained, passionate teachers who guide them to create a personal vision which nurtures their unique abilities and allows them to participate in local, state, national and international 21st Ccentury learning opportunities.
