Over one hundred pre-kindergarten students celebrated achieving reading milestones at Emma Roberson Early Learning Academy on May 20, 2022.

Currently, 117 students are now reading, according to principal Kellie Lambert.  A few more will likely prior the end of the school year.

The students were honored at an afternoon celebration and were presented with certificates and a hard-bound book to reward them for their accomplishment.

Lambert set a goal of one hundred readers for the school year, and students exceeded that point earlier in the spring.

The Roberson academy offers full-day pre-kindergarten for qualifying four-year-old children throughout Granbury ISD.  A separate program for three-year-olds operates through a partnership with Head Start.  Enrollment for the 2022-23 school year continues on Tuesday, June 14 and Tuesday, July 12 from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the school.  Additional information is available at www.granburyisd.org/kindergartenroundup.
