GRADUATION HELD FOR GHS CLASS OF 2022

Granbury High School held commencement exercises for the Class of 2022 on May 27, 2022, at Pirate Stadium.

Principal Jeremy Ross presented the graduates to the Board of Trustees. Diplomas were presented by school board members, and each senior was congratulated by Ross and superintendent Dr. Jeremy Glenn.

As the top two students in the graduating class, valedictorian Kori Brawner and salutatorian Matthew Walters each delivered an address. Student body president Scout Skaggs also spoke on behalf of the seniors.

The remaining students in the top ten of the class were recognized by Ross:  Parker Bradley, Trinity Belott, Kaylee Black, Alex Call, Emily Dolan, Lu Johns-De La Garza, Sawyer Schenewark, and Garima Shrestha.

Other class officers and student council officers participated in the program and were part of the stage party. The others were:  Hannah Baker, senior class president; Reese Holmgreen, student body vice president; Avery McCall, student body secretary; Jahir Orocio; Ellianne Patrick, student body treasurer; Mackenzie Smith, senior class officer; Madison Smith, senior class officer.

A senior choir ensemble sang the National Anthem. The school’s Marine Corps JROTC color guard presented the United States and Texas flags.
