Granbury ISD schools are hosting parent meetings and other events to prepare for the 2019-20 school year during January, February, and March 2019.
The meetings are for students currently in grades 5-9 and will be held at Granbury High School, Acton Middle School, and Granbury Middle School.
- 9th Grade (10th Grade in 2019-20): Thursday, January 31 at 6:00 P.M. in the GHS auditorium and cafeteria
- 8th Grade (9th Grade in 2019-20): Thursday, February 7 at 6:00 P.M. in the GHS auditorium and cafeteria
- 5th Grade (6th Grade in 2019-20): Tuesday, March 5 at 6:00 P.M. in both middle school cafeterias
- 6th and 7th Grade (7th and 8th Grade in 2019-20: Thursday, March 28 at 6:00 P.M. in both middle school cafeterias
For Spanish-speaking parents, GHS will hold a special session on Tuesday, January 29 for 8th and 9th graders (students who will be 9th and 10th graders in the 2019-20 school year) beginning at 6:00 P.M. in the GHS auditorium.
8th grade students will visit the Career and Technical Education Center at the high school during the week of January 14. There will also be an Open House of the CTE Center on Tuesday, January 15 from 5-6:30pm. In addition, GHS CTE ambassadors will be at the middle schools on Tuesday, January 8.
Parents are encouraged to attend the meeting at the school that their student will be attending next year.
The meetings will cover several grade-appropriate topics, including course selections, electives, college readiness, graduation plans, career pathways, gifted and talented program opportunities, and other academic and scheduling topics.
