JROTC CADET SELECTED FOR NAVAL ACADEMY SUMMER SEMINAR

Morgan Arnold Morgan Arnold, a junior cadet in the Granbury Marine Corps JROTC program, has been selected to attend the United States Naval Academy Summer Seminar to be held during three sessions in June 2015.
 
The Summer Seminar is a fast-paced, six-day experience for high achievers who have completed their junior year in high school. The program teaches students about life at the Naval Academy, where academics, athletics, and professional training play equally important roles in developing national leaders.
 
The competitive entry program only admits 850 students from across the country and uses strong selection criteria, including: superior high school performance to include GPA, class standing, and strong PSAT, SAT, or ACT results; demonstrated achievement in athletics and extracurricular activities, especially demonstrating leadership potential in these areas; physical fitness and good health; and a positive attitude, self-discipline, and good moral character.
 
Morgan is also a member of the GHS football team. He attended the STEM summer program at the U.S. Naval Academy in 2013 following his freshman year.
