JROTC CADET SELECTED FOR NAVAL ACADEMY SUMMER SEMINAR
March 20,
2015

The Summer Seminar is a
fast-paced, six-day experience for high achievers who have completed their
junior year in high school. The program teaches students about life at the
Naval Academy, where academics, athletics, and professional training play
equally important roles in developing national leaders.
The competitive entry program
only admits 850 students from across the country and uses strong selection
criteria, including: superior high school performance to include GPA, class
standing, and strong PSAT, SAT, or ACT results; demonstrated achievement in
athletics and extracurricular activities, especially demonstrating leadership
potential in these areas; physical fitness and good health; and a positive
attitude, self-discipline, and good moral character.
Morgan is also a member of
the GHS football team. He attended the
STEM summer program at the U.S. Naval Academy in 2013 following his freshman
year.
