JROTC CADET SELECTED FOR AIR FORCE ACADEMY PREP SCHOOL

April 30, 2015

Carlile Hayle Carlile, a senior cadet in the Granbury Marine Corps JROTC, has been selected to attend the United States Air Force Academy Preparatory School through the Falcon Foundation.

The Falcon Foundation provides a limited number of highly-motivated people the opportunity to sharpen their skills for admission to the academy by providing scholarships at a college or preparatory school especially selected for this purpose.

The foundation’s mission is to further the ability of exceptional young men and women to attend the United States Air Force Academy and pursue aerospace careers in the United States Air Force through awarding junior college and preparatory school scholarships, providing ongoing support to academy programs, and mentoring foundation scholars.

Carlile will attend the Greystone Academy through Schreiner University in Kerrville beginning in the fall and then transfer the USAFA the following year.

The Cadet Captain serves at the JROTC’s S-3 operations officer. Last summer, she attended the Summer Leadership and Character Development Academy in the Washington, D.C. area.
