BATTALION COMMANDER RECEIVES ARMY ROTC SCHOLARSHIP TO NORWICH UNIVERSITY

Hunter Dowell Hunter Dowell, a senior cadet and the battalion commander of the Granbury Marine Corps JROTC, has been awarded an Army ROTC Scholarship to Norwich University.
 
Dowell will be attending the Vermont college in the fall and participate in the Army’s Three-year Advanced Designee (3YR-AD) Scholarship program. The scholarship at Norwich will cover the costs of his room and board through the General I.D. White Scholarship program.
 
After graduation from the senior military college, Dowell will receive an active duty commission and he will start his professional career as a military officer.
 
In addition to his battalion leadership, Dowell was a member of the JROTC’s nationally-recognized rifle team.
