SCHOOL BOARD HONORS ALL-STATE, ART, AND RIFLE TEAM STUDENTS AT MONTHLY MEETING
January 21, 2016
Granbury
ISD school board trustees honored several students from Granbury High School
and Crossland Ninth Grade Center during its monthly meeting on January 19, 2016. Also recognized were Oak Woods School student council members for leading the pledges to the U.S. and Texas flags.

GHS
Pirate Band members Lauren Boleng and Aaron Morgan were recognized for making
the All-State Band for the Texas Music Educators Association. Pictured above

Five
students qualified for the TMEA All-State Choirs. Recognized were GHS students Baylee Davis,
Brynn Deger, Kiersten Mathis, and Zack Zagrocki along with Crossland student
Andrew Walters. Pictured above are (left

GHS student Daniel Cortes was
honored for winning Grand Champion at the Fort Worth Stock Show art competition. Cortes (center) is pictured with art teacher

The Granbury Marine Corps
JROTC Rifle Team was recognized for winning for continued success, including a state
championship and advancing to regional and national contests. Pictured above with Lt. Col. Scott Casey and 1st
Sgt. Johnny Rositas are cadets from GHS and Crossland: Cody Bogle, Trinity Hathaway, Freeman Hawker,
Chris Hitshew, Kayla Hitshew, Grant Kinser, Katharine Lambert, Tyler
Morrissette, Ethan Patterson, Brittney Pinckard, Elizabeth Plecity, and Jakob
Rankin.

Student
