Bogle won gold and set a national record in the kneeling position during individual competition, which also featured Kayla Hitshew and Lambert as finalists.  The trio plus Hawker formed the second-place team, which received a bid to shoot against the best JROTC units in the nation March 17-19 back in Alabama.

“The cadets shot great over the two-day competition,” said Lt. Col. Scott Casey, the Senior Marine Instructor.  “All ten shooters shot a personal best on the national stage.”

A second team composed of Hathaway, Chris Hitshew, Morrissette, and Plecity placed sixth in the competition.  Rankin was an individual contestant in the precision class, while Kinser competed in the sporter category.

“Getting a bid to nationals at Camp Perry is the highest level you can achieve,” Casey commented.  “This is a remarkable accomplishment for the Granbury program, which competed at national level for the first time last year.”
