JROTC RIFLE TEAM CAPTURES PRECISION AIR RIFLE NATIONAL TITLE

The Granbury Marine Corps JROTC captured a national championship in the 2021 Precision Championship Tournament, marking the third league title. 

The Granbury High School team defeated Lafayette Gun Club 2449.3 to 2422.2 to win the championship but also post its third perfect season with a 10-0 record. 

The squad was led by Parker Haydin, who shot a 618.2. The remaining contributing members were Ashton Arlington, Julia Czernik, Sarah Folsom, Tye Foster, Caroline Martin, Cadince McGrath, Sunnee Schumann, Kaylynn Slaughter, Kameron Wells, and Kennedy Wells. 

Also during the tournament, Martin earned the Most Valuable Player award for having the highest average on the winning team during the postseason, averaging 614.7.
