Caroline Martin, a cadet in the Granbury Marine Corps JROTC program, has been selected to attend the U.S. Military Academy at West Point Summer Leader Experience as well as the U.S. Naval Academy Summer Seminar with both being held during Summer 2022.

The West Point SLE provides rising high school seniors with a week-long immersion into the academic, military, and social life of a cadet. Participants explore West Point from all angles, including high-tech educational facilities, team-building athletic activities, and realistic military training.

The Summer Seminar gives participants a taste of life at the Naval Academy and kick-starts their application journey for an appointment. For one week in June, students experience first-class academic, athletic, and professional training while building lifelong friendships with campers from all over the country.

Cadet Martin’s tuition and travel to both camps are provided by American Legion Post 278.
