GISD RELEASES FALL ATHLETIC SCHEDULES AND COVID-19 PROTOCOLS
September 1, 2020
Granbury ISD released fall athletic schedules for Granbury High School, Acton Middle School, and Granbury Middle School on September 1, 2020. Also released are COVID-19 protocols for athletic competitions and ticket procedures.
Schedules available include:
Granbury High School: cross country, football, golf, swim, team tennis, volleyball
Acton Middle School: football and volleyball
Granbury Middle School: football and volleyball
Traditional seasons have been delayed due to COVID-19 guidelines issued by the University Interscholastic League. In addition, the school district will be following all COVID-related requirements issued by the UIL, Texas Education Agency, and Governor Greg Abbott.
For athletic competitions, all facilities will be limited to 50% capacity. In addition, all spectators must self-screen for COVID-19 symptoms, wear a mask or face covering, maintain 6-foot distance from other groups in stands or bleachers, and exit the facility immediately following the game.
For varsity football games, there will be no season tickets or passes for student athletes, families, or GISD employees due to the limited capacity. Gold Card holders may obtain advance tickets at the GISD athletic office. Tickets will be sold weekly with priority for 2019 VIP season ticket holders as well as parents and guardians for student groups.
Gold Cards for individuals who are aged 55 and over are available for a one-time charge of $10. A driver’s license is required to obtain a card.
The GISD athletic office is located in the Administration Building at 217 N. Jones Street. A ticket window will be open just outside the main entrance.
