MIDDLE SCHOOL THEATER PRODUCTIONS COMING IN NOVEMBER

Granbury ISD middle school theater troupes are planning musicals for November 2021. 

Granbury Middle School will present All Together Now! on Friday, November 12 at 7:00 P.M.  Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for students. 

According to Music Theatre International, the revue is a global event celebrating local theater that weekend.  The production will feature a variety of songs from MTI musicals. 

Cast members for the GMS production are Navaya Alarcon, Sophia Alderson, Landon Areno, Ella Aubrey, Evan Baldridge, Addali Batey, Shelby Beech, Kenna Black, Charlotte Bryant, Marlee Burton, Deklyn Caudle, Remi Chastain, Mercedes Ellison, Kallen Graves, Mia Huerta, Alicia Jaimes, Kyleigh Ledesma, Zoiee Lee, Jessica Lettunich, Ava Mallory, Christopher Martin, Misty Meyers, Christine Myrick, Raelyn O'Dell, Brooklynn Palmer, Harlie Pool, Trinity Sanders, Ethan Scott, Addysyn Spencer, Brooklynn Sutherland, Presley Thomas, Monica Tovar, and Skyann Turner. 

Crew members are Ryleigh Adair, Alyson Bankston, Blake Catron, Liberty Ensminger, Averie Knudson, Bailee Lilley-Martinez, Lila Manning, Kaden Mays, Trinity Ritz, Terry Robason, Sierra Stacey, Eden Stone, Kaylynn Sweeten, Sophia Wilcox, and Taylor Zayak. 

The production under the direction of GMS theater arts teacher Justin Barbee. 

At Acton Middle School, students will perform Mary Poppins JR on November 12-14. Showtimes are 7:00 P.M. on Friday, November 12 and Saturday, November 13 with a 3:00 P.M. matinee on Sunday, November 14.  Admission is $7 but free for children aged 3 and under.  

According to Music Theatre International, the jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family members how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren't the only ones upon whom she has a profound effect. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that "Anything can happen if you let it." 

Ruth Power leads the cast in the title role, while Brylea Hyde will play Bert.  Jane and Michael will be portrayed by Raegan Fisher and Kai Cook respectively, while Brandon Young and Baylor Oliver will play George and Winifred Banks. 

Also in the AMS cast are Grace Blevins, Jori Collins, Grace Fisher, Tobin Gatlin, Micah Griffith, Aaron Hass, Jayla Hayes, Rachael Jones, Elyse Lemens, Reagan Lloyd, Graham Ramos, Ellie Weeks, and Reagan Welch. 

Ensemble members are Isabella Babb, Braxton Bailey, Monica Barto, Lelan Brown, Carlee Burnfield, Carmen Citzler, Kynadee Cogburn, Paislee Cogburn, Brooke Crump, Madison Drehmann, Kaylynne Good, Jolie Hayes, Jovi Lee, Maddy McMullen, Jesse Melancon, Bren Molinari, Zoe Moore, Maddie Neal, Chloe Reagan, London Reed, Joley Richardson, Emily Sain, Ryder Stover, Ada Taylor, Evie Taylor, Molly Thompson, Cheyenne Webb, and Daija Wedige. 

Laney Mathews is the stage manger. Other crew members are:  Hudson Blevins and Kate Moore, lights; Aidan Windham and Paxton Dickey, sound; Nina Sailer and Masyn Noe, props; Jina Kim, Gunner Phillips, Grace Argueta, and Scarlett Farner, set/stage crew; Maddie Neal and Mailey Oliver, costumes; Anna Whidden, Riley Sams, and Larin Oliver, hair/makeup.
