SCHOOL NURSES RECOGNIZED FOR MAKING THE GRADE ON SCHOOL HEALTH
May 9, 2019
School nurses were in the spotlight for their work on behalf of American schoolchildren for National School Nurse Day on May 8, 2019.
The theme this year – School Nurses: Making the Grade on School Health – recognizes that school nurses play an integral role in the health of not just students, but the overall schools in which they work.
In its 46th year, National School Nurse Day was established in 1972 to foster a better understanding of the role of school nurses in the educational setting. The annual observance is held on the Wednesday of National Nurse Week, which is always May 6-12.
Granbury ISD school nurses are: Tracy Ashmore, Acton Middle School; Lauren Bruner, Granbury Middle School; Amber Campbell, Roberson Elementary School; Melissa Harkey, Granbury High School; Taylor Marcel, Acton Elementary School; Kim McLeod, Oak Woods School; Melisa Monson, Brawner Intermediate School; Jesse Moore, Baccus Elementary School; Elizabeth Perchard, STEAM Academy at Mambrino.
