The Marine Corps JROTC at Granbury High School and Crossland Ninth Grade Center is hosting the 3rd Annual Marine Corps Ball on Saturday, November 10, 2012.
The ball, which is a fundraising event for the JROTC program, will be held from 5:30-10:00 P.M. at the Granbury Resort Conference Center.
The ball is intended as a celebration of the 237th birthday of the United States Marine Corps, according to Lt. Col. Scott Casey, the senior Marine instructor of the JROTC program.
The guest speaker for the event will be Lt. Col. Mitchell Bell, who serves as the Reserve Support Officer for the 8th Marine Corps District. He is also a member of the Bluebonnet Marine Corps League.
An elegant meal will be catered by Joe’s Pasta & Pizza. Entertainment will also be provided, and Granbury cadets will conduct the pageant as well as the cake cutting ceremony.
Dress for the evening is semi-formal (coat and tie) to formal (tuxedo). Uniforms are required for active duty Marines and service members and are encouraged for those who are retired or formerly served.
Tickets, which are $60 per person, are available at GHS.
For more information, contact Lt. Col. Casey or First Sergeant Johnny Rositas in the GHS JROTC office at (817) 408-4667.
