CHOIRS DAZZLE CROWD WITH DISNEY CONCERT

It was a trip to the World of Disney on October 6, 2012, as choir students from Granbury High School and Crossland Ninth Grade Center performed a “Be Our Guest” dinner theater to a huge crowd at the GHS Bagby-McMahan Performing Arts Center. 

The high school choir, under the direction of Joy Hope, performed several songs from Beauty and the Beast, Lady and the Tramp, Hercules, Cinderella, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Toy Story, 20,000 Leauge Under the Sea, The Little Mermaid, Pocahontas, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Aladdin, Tarzan, The Aristocats, Mulan, and The Lion King.

Led by Greg Doss, Crossland choir students began the program with hits from Disney classics like Mary Poppins, Snow White, Pinocchio, and The Jungle Book.

GHS choir members singing solos or in ensembles were Cindy Adams, Cody Bridges, Kennedy Brown, Krystyn Buchanan, Josh Carpenter, Peter Dowd, Ally Gonzalez, Connor Krebbs, Kyle Mayes, Nick Mayes, Dakota Medlin, Nate Milson, Eva Murphy, Joel Reid, Abby Ritchmond, Monica Sanchez, Madison Seymore, Crystal Simmons, Tori Townsend, Grant Watts, Natalie Willingham, and Herry Yehhsuan-An.

Freshman soloists were Baylee Davis, Mark Hartgraves, Dakota Paulo, Jade Reneau, and Reagan Slade.

Narrating was GHS student Juan Gutierrez along with freshmen Colton Collins and Madison Miller.

Instrumentalists were Jeremy Bowen, Christine Bridges, and Tim Hope. Manning the sound and light boards were Phil Groeschel and Bob Peacock.

The students are under the direction of Joy Hope and Greg Doss.
