JROTC Trophy Cases

The Marine Corps JROTC unit at Granbury High School and Crossland Ninth Grade Center dedicated four trophy cases donated by the Comanche Peak Detachment of the Marine Corps League. The ribbon cutting was held at the school on November 7, 2012.

The local veterans’ organization raised the funds for building and installation of the cases, which hold trophies earned by the JROTC students in competitions involving drills, marksmanship, and physical fitness, according to senior instructor Lt. Col. Scott Casey.

On hand were several Marine Corps League members as well as Col. James Lenard, who started the JROTC program at the high school before departing in 2009.
