GMS GROUP ENJOYS NATION’S CAPITAL

A group from Granbury Middle School enjoyed visiting important national sites during a tour of Washington D.C. on June 11-14, 2013.

Seventeen students joined teachers Pam Futch and Sarah Mabery for the summer excursion. 

The tour included Arlington National Cemetery, Embassy Row, Ford’s Theater, Kennedy Center, Mount Vernon, National Zoo, the U.S. Capitol, and the White House. Students visited the Smithsonian, U.S. Holocaust, and naval museums. The group also stopped at memorials for the Korean War, Vietnam War, World War I, World War II, and the Pentagon as well as those honoring Thomas Jefferson, Martin Luther King Jr., Abraham Lincoln, Franklin Roosevelt, and George Washington.
