Granbury High School theater students traveled to the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for the International Thespian Festival on June 24-29, 2013.

The students, joined by GHS director Phil Groeschel and Crossland Ninth Grade Center director Krista Alcorn Holman, spent the week attending performances and workshops by student groups from across the country.

Four members of the GHS troupe qualified for the national contest after advancing from the state festival last December in Houston. Competing were: Natalie Willingham in solo musical; Hailey Hart and Bailey Youngs in duet acting; and Kyle Mayes in monologue.

In addition, Hart and Youngs – who are both incoming GHS seniors – took part in scholarship auditions before representatives of several colleges and universities.
