GRANBURY CHOIR STUDENTS ADVANCE TO REGIONAL AUDITIONS

Choir students from Granbury High School and Crossland Ninth Grade Center recently participated in the first step toward qualifying for the All-State Choirs. The TMEA Region 7 district auditions were held on September 14, 2013, at GHS.

 

38 students qualified for the regional auditions, which will be held on Saturday, October 12 in Burleson. Of the group, sophomore Kiersten Mathis earned first-chair honors among Alto 2 singers.

 

Those advancing to the next level are:

  • Soprano 1: Kaylynn Fehrer, Kellan Jones, Deanna Rupp, Mercy Whites
  • Alto 1:  April Cabrera, Brynn Deger, Katrice Johnson, Makenzie Kane, Alondra Martinez, Kaitlyn Meinershagen, Erin Pavelick, Sofia Taylor, Caitlin Whitfill
  • Alto 2:  Baylee Davis, Clarissa Jackson, Kelly Kollmann, Kiersten Mathis, Bailey Occhipinti, Madison Seymore
  • Tenor 1: Halston Bradley, Colton Collins, Joel Reid, Kendon Parker
  • Tenor 2: Paulo Dakota, Christopher Lancaster
  • Bass 1:  Dakota Medlin, Nicholaus Mourer, Nikolai Press, Nicholas Sandelin, Zach Zagrocki
  • Bass 2:  Cody Bridges, Nicholas Barrett, Jamie Garcia, Cesar Gutierrez, Mark Hartgraves, Cody Mullican, Taunton Puckett, Jacob Wheeler

Of the group, four – Brynn Deger, Christopher Lancaster, Bailey Occhipinti, and Jacob Wheeler – are freshmen. The remaining are GHS students.

The students are under the direction of Joy Hope and Greg Doss.
