Granbury Young Farmers  

The Granbury Young Farmers in partnership with the Granbury FFA will hold its Fall Shoot Out livestock show on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at the Granbury ISD Agricultural Science Complex.

There will be two shows at the non-sanctioned event:

  • Heifer/Steer – weigh-in: 6:30-8:00 A.M.; show: 9:00 A.M.
  • Lamb/Goat – weigh-in: 11:30 A.M.-1:00 P.M.; show: 2:00 P.M.

Classifications are: cattle – American, British, Exotic; sheep – Dorper, FW/FWX, Southdown, and Medium Wool; goats – Light, Middle, and Heavy.

Judges will be: cattle – Eric Kale; lamb – Stuart Spruill; and goat – Tracey Womack.

Prizes will be buckles to grand champions, trophies to reserve grand champions, prizes to breed and reserve breed champions, and ribbons for first through fourth places.

Entries are $20 at the door. For jackpot showmanship (junior - 13 and under, senior – 14 and up), the fee is $5 per head at the gate and held following each show. 

The GISD Agricultural Science Complex is located at 451 Howard Clemmons Drive behind Granbury Middle School.
