CADETS COMPETE AT HORNED FROG INVITATIONAL
November 20, 2013

The Granbury Marine Corps JROTC competed at the Horned Frog Invitational rifle competition on November 10, 2013, at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
Cadet Hunter Dowell posted a personal best with a score 543 out of a possible 600 in air rifle, placing 15th in the field of over 35 participants.
“This was the first time the team has shot against this caliber of shooters,” said Lt. Col. Scott Casey, the Senior Marine Instructor for the Granbury contingent. “This gives our cadets a good idea how they rank at the national level.”
GHS was also represented by Rebecca Anderson, Tyler Morrissette, and Stephen Schofield.
The cadets previously competed in the 8th Annual William J. Bordelon Air Rifle Tournament and the Civilian Marksmanship Program State Championship Tournament at Central Catholic High School in San Antonio on October 26-27. The next contest will be the Junior Olympic Trials at the TCU rifle range in early January.Links to Remember:
