The Granbury High School student council was recognized with top awards from the Texas Association of Student Councils for outstanding achievement during the 2013-14 school year. 

The awards were presented during the Texas Association of Student Council’s 78th Annual High School State Conference on April 13-15, 2014, at the Arlington Convention Center.

StuCo received the Outstanding Student Council award along with sweepstakes accolades for initiatives in the following categories: community service; drug, alcohol, safety, and health; energy and environment; and pride and patriotism.

The TASC outstanding school recognition program is designed to set a standard of excellence for Texas student councils. Fewer than twenty percent of TASC member schools are recognized in one or more areas. The state organization is sponsored by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals.
