Nine members of the Granbury Pirate soccer team were named to the District 15-4A all-district team. The awards follow the boys advancing to the area playoff round in Class 4A post-season play.

Leading the Granbury contingent were junior Jacob Rose as co-defensive most valuable player and freshman Bryce Gentry as offensive newcomer. Last year, Rose was on the honorable mention list.

Senior Shaun Gomez and freshman Fernando Aguado were on the first team, while junior Jacob Dyson and sophomore Freddy Espinoza were named to the second team. Receiving honorable mention recognition were senior Christian Carnes, junior Kaleb Wilson, and sophomore Hunter McKenna.

The complete list selected for the all-district honors is below:

  • Co-Defensive Most Valuable Player: Jacob Rose
  • Offensive Newcomer of the Year: Bryce Gentry
  • First Team: Fernando Aguado, Shaun Gomez
  • Second Team: Jacob Dyson, Freddy Espinoza
  • Honorable Mention: Christian Carnes, Hunter McKenna, Kaleb Wilson

In addition to Granbury, the district includes Alvarado, Cleburne, Joshua, Kennedale, and Stephenville.
