Granbury High School announced the top ten students for the Class of 2014. Class rankings were finalized after the conclusion of the fifth six weeks grading period and announced on April 30, 2014.
Rachael Rodgers and Riley Summer will represent the senior class as valedictorian and salutatorian. Others in the top ten of the graduating class are (in order): Ryan Garland, Lily Tunnell, Guy Wright, Justin Kochis, Thomas Tigner, Morgan Northcutt, Chandler Chiappe, Courtney Howze.
Rodgers, daughter of Rick and Jeanne Rodgers, has a grade point average of 5.071, while Summer, the son of Scott and Nancy Summer, has a grade point average of 5.029.
With less than a month left in the school year, the class – which numbers about 370 seniors – is making preparations for graduation at 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 29 at the Fort Worth Convention Center.
A baccalaureate service sponsored by the Granbury Ministerial Alliance is set for 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, May 18 in the GHS Bagby-McMahan Performing Arts Center.
Awards and scholarships will be announced during a special evening event on Thursday, May 22. The Senior Awards Program will begin at 7:00 P.M. in the GHS Bagby-McMahan Performing Arts Center.
