CROSSLAND TALENT SHOW RAISES MONEY FOR RUTH’S PLACE
April 30, 2014
Crossland Ninth Grade Center students showcased their talent on April 11, 2014, with a show serving as a fundraiser for Ruth’s Place.
Taking the top prizes were: Audrey Montgomery, first (accompanied by Christian Carvajal); Tyler Blevins and Jack Patton, second; Cody Crocker, third. Other awards went to Crocker for Best in Show, Montgomery for Best Audience Interaction, and Jocelyn Elliott for Most Unique.
Proceeds benefit Ruth’s Place, a local charitable organization that operates a medical and dental clinic in a facility behind Kroger grocery store as well as a community outreach center in Oak Trail Shores.
Ruth’s Place executive director Becky Mauldin accepted the donation on April 28 and is pictured above with talent show winners and participants.
