The Granbury ISD Child Nutrition Department will be highlighted at the upcoming annual conference of the Texas Association for School Nutrition. The state meeting will be held June 7-10, 2009, in Houston.
Child nutrition managers, who oversee cafeteria operations on their respective campuses, will be attending several state certification classes and will be spotlighted at a general session during the conference.
Director of Child Nutrition Alicia Hernandez will also be installed as the organization’s president-elect.
The annual meeting consists of over one hundred classes for all areas of food service, including a culinary arts class, exhibits, CPR, and the Top Chef Competition.
